A charming and charismatic recently widowed Hampstead judge
struggles to throw off his burden of grief. As he does his
best to come to terms with the baffling mysteries of domestic
life, from which his late wife has always protected him, he
is surprised to discover that as an attractive and eligible
widower in late middle age he is much in demand. He finds
himself pursued by three very determined women desperately
looking for new husbands. With which of them will he find
the happiness he has lost and the contentment he is seeking?
The efforts of the women to ensnare him, in which no holds
are barred, are played out in a touching and hilarious comedy
of grief by bestselling author and playwright Rosemary Friedman.

Today's the big day - Tish and Jim are getting married! The
wedding is taking place at Tish's family home in Kent, to
be followed by a family meal tomorrow and a three week honeymoon
in Indonesia. A wedding photo will be available once they're
back.

It's official, Tish has now left Holby City! She filmed her
last scenes yesterday and Diane Lloyd will leave our screens
in June. There's no rest for the wicked however, Tish will
be kept busy considering acting roles and planning for her
wedding, which takes place in May.
New on Tish's next role will appear here in due course.

A christmas message from Tish!:
"Hello! Just a quick message to wish anyone visiting
the website a very very Happy Christmas!
It's
been a bit of a mad year for me what with Jim and I becoming
engaged, having the chance to be in an episode of Extras,
and of course, my making the decision to finally leave Holby
after 5 years on the show (which I'm absolutely terrifed about
I have to admit!). But there's a while to go yet for Diane
so I'm looking forward to enjoying the rest of my time at
Holby and some good storylines.
But for now, thank you for your continuing support of the
programme. It really does mean so much to all the people who
are in it as well as those who work on the show behind the
scenes. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a very Happy
New Year!

Tish's fiance, Jim Down, made the headlines around the world
this week but for sad reasons. Jim was part of the team looking
after the former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko, who died
in hospital in London on Thursday from radiation poisoning.
It was Jim who appeared before cameras late on Thursday night
to make the official announcement. A clip can be found here.
On a lighter note, Tish has a small piece in today's Saurday
magazine with The Express. In it she talks about some of her
favourite travel destinations.

Tish made an unexpected appearance on GMTV this morning in
support of the Anthony Nolan Trust, on whose behalf she ran
the London Marathon this year. You can view a clip on the
Tishboard.
Those of you who saw Children In Need last Friday will have
seen Tish and other Holby City cast members going all disco
and performing Madonna's 'Hung Up'. Tish looked and sounded
great and you can view a clip here,
though sadly it's not the best quality.

After three months off-screen, Tish returns to Holby City
tonight, 8pm on BBC One!

After over four great years starring in Holby City, Tish has
decided that now is the right time to leave the show and pursue
new projects. She will be shooting her final scenes in March
and Diane Lloyd will leave our screens for good in June.

Tish has been confirmed as guest starring in the next season
of the Ricky Gervais comedy Extras! She'll be in one episode,
playing 'herself' as Ricky's ex-girlfriend. Shooting takes
place at the end of July with the new epsiodes expected to
air in the autumn.
Good news for Holby City fans - Tish returned to the set today
following her three month break. Expect to see her new episodes
from October onwards.

Tish will be appearing on GMTV this coming Tuesday morning
doing some promo work for that evening's Holby City (BBC One,
8pm). She will soon be disappearing from the show for a few
months as she's been taking a break to run the marathon, decorate
her home etc. She resumes filming in July and should be back
on screens in October.
On the subject of the marathon, Tish (accompanied by partner
Jim) successfully completed the course in just under five
hours. Here are the stats:
